Shipping Days
During hot weather months (June through September) Red Cap Vineyards prefers not to ship. However, if you really can’t wait for cooler weather to get your wine, we can ship via premium shipping methods such as two-day air or refrigerated shipping. In case of extreme hot or cold temperatures, shipments may be delayed to protect your wine.
Please contact us at 707-965-1145 if you have any special shipping needs.
Key Points to Know About Shipping
Orders cannot be shipped the same day they are placed online.
Shipping wine is complicated by various state-mandated limits and requirements. We run your order through our state compliance matrix to ensure a legal shipment. It takes one business day to process the order, check it, and then send on to picking and packing.
If you would like to schedule an order with a shipping date further in the future than the regular schedule, please give us a call at (707) 965-1145. We are happy to schedule orders for future ship dates.
Upon the third missed delivery attempt, your shipment will be returned to Red Cap Vineyards. If this occurs, we retain your original shipping charge. We’ll kindly ask you to cover the expense to re-ship it back to you.
We cannot ship to a US Postal Service Box.
Sales Tax
By purchasing our wines you agree to take title to the wine in California and are thus charged California state tax. We do this as a way to simplify the shipping of wine.
Return Policy
We want you to be excited and completely satisfied with our products. If for any reason they don’t meet your expectations contact us for a refund or exchange. Understand that improper storage can really affect the wine adversely. Heat and sunlight are quite damaging. Please store the wines in cool and consistent conditions.
