Grilled Shrimp With Garlic & Lime

Pairing: Red Cap Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc

• 1 lb. jumbo shrimp
• 1/4 cup Red Cap Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc
• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes

Begin by peeling and deveining shrimp or purchase pre-cleaned shrimp. In a small bowl combine wine, olive oil, cilantro, salt, paprika, pepper and chili flakes. Mix well and combine with shrimp in a sealable plastic bag. Refrigerate shrimp in marinade at least 30 minutes.

Prepare shrimp for grilling by skewering them onto skewers. If using wood skewers, be sure to soak them in water for 30 minutes prior to grilling. Cook shrimp over medium high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked.

Serve immediately and garnish with fresh cilantro and chili flakes.
