2021 Red Cap “Contribute” Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2021 vintage followed in the footsteps of 2020’s dry spell, resulting in a low yield that produced vines with small, flavor-packed berries. The challenges of nature were met head-on, but the fruit was exceptional. Despite the adversity, the wine showcases an intensity of flavor that is both smooth and velvety, offering a remarkable balance.

The 2021 bottling is an elegant, harmonious expression, with a complex profile that leans into herbaceous notes of white pepper and cedar, alongside rich plums, blackberry, cassis, and subtle hints of cocoa powder and eucalyptus. The mouthfeel is velvety and full-bodied, while the finish is long, marked by mineral-driven wet stone and graphite. The wine is beautifully balanced with integrated acidity and approachable, soft tannins.
