Sable Vine, Inc., doing business as Red Cap Vineyards (“Red Cap,” “we,” “us”), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through redcapvineyards.com and our wine club, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. You must be 21 or older to purchase from us or join our club; please do not give us personal information if you are not.
Information you give us
When you create an account, place an order, join the wine club, or contact us, we collect:
- Name, email address and phone number
- Billing and shipping addresses, including gift recipients’ names and addresses you provide
- Your confirmation that you are 21 or older
- Order history, wine club selections, shipment preferences and membership status
- Anything you write to us
Payment cards are entered directly into our payment processor, Stripe. Red Cap’s website never stores your full card number; we keep only a reference that lets the processor charge your saved card.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how you arrived at our site, and general location derived from your IP address. We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential functions: keeping you signed in, holding your cart, and remembering that you passed our age check
- Site analytics: understanding which pages are visited, so we can improve the site
- Order attribution: recording how a visitor found us (for example, a search engine or an email) when they place an order
We do not use advertising cookies or sell access to our visitors. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but parts of the site, such as the cart and your account, will not work without them.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common standard for responding to it, our site does not change its behavior when it receives one.
How we use your information
- To process, ship and support your orders and wine club shipments
- To verify that you are of legal drinking age
- To run your club membership: release notices, selections, scheduled charges, skips and cancellations
- To send you news about our wines and events, if you have not opted out
- To keep our site, accounts and payments secure and to prevent fraud
- To keep the business and tax records the law requires
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed for that work:

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
Your choices
- Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or write to us. Order, shipping and club notices will still be sent while you have an active order or membership.
- Your account: you can view and update your contact details, addresses and saved card in your account at any time.
- Access, correction or deletion: email info@redcapvineyards.com to ask what information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. We may keep records the law requires, such as order and tax records.
How long we keep it
We keep account and order information for as long as you have an account with us, and afterward for as long as we need it for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and a payment processor that handles card data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Children
Our site is not directed to anyone under 21, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites, such as social media. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we will also tell members by email.
